Assessment, Latch, and Special Issues: A Day with Kay Hoover
Registration is now live.
On March 5, 2012, we will have our spring conference with Kay Hoover. It will be held at Washington Hospital. Kay Hoover, has a new job as the Breastfeeding Coordinator for the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
An application for contact hours has been submitted to the PA State Nurses Association. Please call Martha Peelor at WPLCA for more information about contact hours.
The outline for the day is as follows:
7:45 - 8:45 Registration and continental breakfast
8:45 - 9:00 Welcome
9:00 - 10:00 Assessing a Breastfeeding
10:00 - 11:00 Obesity and Breastfeeding
11:00 - 11:15 Break
11:15 - 12:15 Breastfeeding Multiples
12:15 - 1:13 Lunch/Networking/Business Meeting
1:30 - 3:00 If Baby Hasn't Latched Yet
3:00 - 3:15 Candidasis and Breastfeeding
4:45 - 5:00 Evaluations and wrap-up
We do plan to do another raffle to win a $500 scholarship to the 2012 ILCA Conference. Anyone who wishes to participate in the raffle will need to be a dues paying member of WPLCA. The scholarship will be paid when proof of registration for the 2012 ILCA Conference is submitted.
